How to take care of body during autumn and winter?
Body and face care has to be adjusted accordingly to the ongoing season. It should be different during the summer and different during the spring. Other manners of care should be applied in the winter and other during the autumn. Keep reading to learn easy tricks that help you with maintaining pretty look of your face during cold days.
Sunscreen should be applied mainly during the summer, to shield face skin against the sun and prevent irritation from developing. However, there is a question raised – is it necessary to protect skin during autumn-winter period, when the sun is not shining so intensively? It may seem that the sunscreen applied, when the summer is over, impedes solar rays from penetrating into a body and prevent an organism from producing D vitamin. This statement is not fully true. Suffice to use smaller amounts of the sunscreens. As a result, we will kill two birds with one stone. To clarify, we will protect our face and, at the same time, skin cells will be supplied with D vitamin. What is more, thanks to sunscreens, skin ageing processes are delayed, wrinkles are not becoming more visible and our skin stays away from sun-induced pigmentation marks.
Oily skin type is the most difficult to take care of. Why? It is covered with acne, blackheads and other skin imperfections. Moreover, this skin type tends to produce excessive amounts of sebum, which makes skin pores clogged. Some people are convinced that oily skin should not be moisturized. Instead, it should be treated with products of drying-out features. In fact, these people cannot be further from the truth. Oily skin starts producing sebum even in more excessive amounts if treated with drying-out products. Oily skin requires a lot of moisturization. It is also a good idea to apply cosmetics containing zinc, fruity acids and anti-bacterial factors.
There is yet another common belief that has to be discussed. Some people are convinced that blush during the winter is nothing exceptional. Sometimes it is true, however, reddened cheeks can be the symptoms of broken capillaries. This kind of people should remember to protect their skin using proper care products. For example, cover the face with easing cosmetics everyday. It is also suggested to benefit from home-made face masks containing honey or treatments conducted in a beauty parlour (e.g. laser therapy).
It is not advised to resign from using face scrubs during the winter. This sort of a treatment helps with removing dead epidermis cells and all uneven skin parts. Moreover, smooth skin ‘receives’ moisturizing cosmetics as well as other care products much better. Autumn and winter are also most convenient periods of the year when you can undergo treatments with the use of fruit acids and chemical peelings. Thanks to them, you are going to get rid of skin discolourations, fine lines and other skin imperfections.
