So how to choose the right lip liner and how to use it to achieve satisfactory results and correct any flaws?

Lip liner – what is it for?

With a lip liner, you will not only create a beautiful makeup but also improve the shape of the lips or reduce their asymmetry. Thanks to the cosmetic, your lips will become fuller or narrower, bigger or smaller. What’s more, the lip liner is a perfect complement to the lipstick; sometimes it can even replace it. The cosmetic is also aimed at preventing smudging of the lipstick outside of the lip. It can also work as a primer under lipstick and extend the durability of makeup.

What shade of lip liner to choose?

The shade of the lip liner should match the shade of the lipstick, while these two must match the skin or type of beauty. There is only one rule in regard to the selection of a lip contouring pencil: it can differ from the lipstick colour or our lips by a maximum of one shade. However, if you cannot choose the right shade, put on a colourless lip liner that will keep the lip makeup in place. It is also worth noting that the darker lip liner will make the lips visually smaller, and the brighter one – enlarges them.

How to use a lip liner?

If you wish to enlarge your lips, you can apply the lip liner slightly above and below the lips. It’s enough to lightly press the product to your lips; it must leave a delicate shade. Then, apply the lipstick so that it does not get out of the outlined contours. Remember that you only need a small amount of these cosmetics to achieve a natural effect.
