Aspirin-based face mask and its conditioning and beautifying properties

beauty.jpgFace mask with aspirin is a great way to have a beautiful complexion. This method of skin care has been used by our grandmothers in the past. Discover the conditioning and beautifying properties of aspirin and how to prepare a face mask yourself.

Aspirin-based mask – conditioning and beautifying properties

The aspirin mask visibly improves the appearance of our skin. It allows you to get rid of skin imperfections, such as skin discolourations and blemishes. Why? The answer is simple. Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid, which has cleansing and drying properties. The aspirin mask works similarly to acids, which are used for various beauty treatments.

Aspirin mask – how to do it?

Ingredients:

  • 4 aspirin tablets,
  • a teaspoon of distilled water,
  • a teaspoon of natural yoghurt.

Directions:

First of all, crush all the tabs in a bowl and pour over a few drops of water. Blend it and add the yoghurt. Combine all ingredients. Apply the product to your face and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. After this period of time, rinse with lukewarm water.

Depending on the skin type, you can enrich the mask with various products. In this case, you can go ahead and add honey, spirulina or black cumin oil.

Aspirin mask – who is it recommended for?

The aspirin mask is suitable for all skin types, but is best suited for combination, oily and seborrhoeic skin. Its regular use will result in a significant improvement in the condition of the skin, specifically the narrowing of the pores and the reduction in the number of blemishes. In turn, people with sensitive, dry and capillary skin, should use aspirin mask in moderation. It’s worth remembering that the aspirin mask soothes the symptoms of acne superficially. Its causes can only be cured by a dermatologist.

How often can you use an aspirin mask?

If you are just starting your adventure with an aspirin mask, do it regularly – on average – once a week. If you notice an improvement in your skin condition, limit it to once a month. Bear in mind that aspirin mask used in excess can damage the skin because it provides drying properties.

Aspirin mask – contraindications

The aspirin mask is not indicated in the case of:

  • open wounds,
  • pregnancy,
  • allergy to any of the ingredients,
  • very dry, sensitive and capillary skin.
